Korean hot springs and outdoor baths for winter

Steam rising off hot water while the air bites your face: Korea’s outdoor baths are at their best from late autumn to the first snow.

01

Naked or swimsuit?

Two kinds of places. Hot spring baths (oncheon) are like any bathhouse: separate men’s and women’s sides, no swimsuits. Spa parks and waterparks are mixed and you wear a swimsuit. Each spot page says which.
